a british website sweeping the nation

With everyone becoming more and more technologically savvy, it's no wonder that millions of online shopping websites are popping up all over the web. The newest online store? ASOS.COM!
According to Teen Vogue, asos.com is the newest and coolest place where all the brits are shopping. It's a no brainer as to why it would be a smash hit in the UK; the clothes are a whole range of expenses, it has that hip, trendy feel of topshop, and it also carries name brands.
I checked out the website, and I was immediately impressed. Of course, here in the U.S. we have some similar online stores (shopbop.com..etc), but then again, they don't exactly carry their own line of clothing. Asos.com is definitely aimed more towards a british style, similar to Topshop. But unlike Topshop, there is a much wider range of options. Looking fashionable, chic, trendy, whatever you want to call it, is difficult when you don't want to blow all your monthly savings. But with Asos.com, you can find a huge price range of clothing depending on what you're looking for! genius

On all things British, musical note, I came across a British, boy band, One Night Only. Randomly, I came across one of their music videos on.... yahoo.. I always manage to learn something from yahoo news. Emma Watson, who plays Hermione in Harry Potter, stared in one of their music videos on youtube. (it now has over one million hits) Anyway, you might recognize the band leader from Burberry's spring ad-campaign. He was photographed with Emma Watson for the spring's collection.
I have been hooked ever since listening to their song, Say You Don't Want It. Hopefully their music will catch on! where have all the british, boy bands gone??

what do you guys think of this band?

Burberry Fall '11 Campaign

photos from nymag.com

The Fall ad campaign was released recently. It is clear that the raved-about jackets are certainly the spotlight here. The collection was highly impressive in terms of outerwear, although I couldn't say the same to the clothing underneath the jackets; they were fairly mediocre. But as I said, the outwear was definitely more of the focus, and I can already see people lining up for one of the coveted leather motor jackets! x

P.S. what do you guys think of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, a Victoria's Secret Angel, being casted in this campaign? I have to say that, personally, I was surprised! x
