Polyvore?

Karlie Kloss
This could be bad.... My friend showed me this website yesterday, and I am already obsessed. It's called polyvore.com. Basically it's a fashion collage site, where you make your own collages. Literally my dream come true. I sat at my computer for 2 hours trying to make this collage... I guess practice makes perfect.... hopefully this won't be too distracting, but I already have a feeling that this is what I'm going to be doing all summer. Great! there goes my whole summer schedule out the window. Goodbye.

(of course this practice collage was a complete montage to Karlie Kloss)

KLOSS AMBITONS

I was meant to post this yesterday but due to the pile of work that I was assigned, I didn't get to it...

Anyways cutting to the chase! As most of you already probably know, Karlie Kloss is covergirl of the May issue of TEEN Vogue!!!!!!!!! And believe me, this is exciting news! I was practically jumping up and down when I saw the cover. I'm not sure if it is out yet but just from looking online it looks pretty exciting! It's nice to see that Teen Vogue is still thinking about variety (sometimes seeing a celebrity/actor/singer can get tiring). It's nice when they put up and coming models but even more interesting when they put an established model on the cover.
I think that the appeal on putting Karlie on the cover was her obvious youth and her extreme succes! In one of my previous posts (Strutting Towards Fame) I mentioned the numerous designers which she is the face of. Karlie with her signature runway walk, her extreme height, her youth, her interesting face, and originality in front of the camera makes her a huge success in the world of fashion.
Anyways, the photo spread, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier, embraces the classic highschool image, a football game. Karlie wore slighty tougher clothing but with some athletic twists... this was a prime shoot for several pieces from Alexander Wang's fall collection to get into. Some pictures from the shoot:

Well one things for sure, Karlie Kloss on the cover of Teen Vogue has made my day... or my entire month! :) and pick up a copy of TEEN Vogue!!!

Strutting forward to fame, Karlie Kloss

Models have become more and more recognized as well as appreciated in the world of fashion. There are important traits to being a model such as being tall as well as attractive, but it's also a much more demanding job than most people think. It's difficult to become established in the industry as it is constantly refreshing and changing, and as time goes on, people come and go. Even with those who are established, the precarious balance can suddenly change and you can easily plummet. In terms of modeling, the safest are those who are practically celebrities such as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. But then there are those few models who may not be celebrities but have made a name for themselves and are recognized to be the "it" models.

When asked to think of an established and largely popular model, the first person who comes to mind is Karlie Kloss. Karlie Kloss has become a well known model and her face is found everywhere nowadays. Her career is one that any model would be happy to follow in the footsteps of. She is currently the face of Dior and Hermes. Last year, in 2009 Karlie was in countless Vogue spreads. This fall season she has already opened the show for Dior as well as Karl Lagerfeld. Not to mention that she is the face of Lola perfume, Marc by Marc Jacobs. She has become an established figure and model in the world of fashion.

A beautiful dress from Oscar de la Renta from his fall collection. Model, Karlie Kloss, looks stunning and was the perfect choice to walk in this gown. It's simplicity gives off an air of elegance and sophistication.
